MOUNTAIN BIKING

An easy bike ride today and a true calves’ killer tomorrow? Pitztal in Tyrol offers the whole range to mountain biking fans. There is actually no avoiding the classic “Pitztal Bike Route” that meanders through the entire length of the valley and, conveniently, all other trails branch off from it. Those who start at Imst can reach Mittelberg, the last hamlet at the foot of the glacier at the end of the valley, 1,750 metres above sea level covering 42 kilometres and 1,400 metres in altitude.

SUMMER HIGHLIGHTS

CAFÉ 3.440

The suspended terrace of Café 3440 at exactly 3,440 m above sea level offers uninterrupted panoramic views of the Alpine scenery. This is Austria's highest Café and Tirol's new peak highlight in the true sense of the word! It seems incredible but Café 3.440 is encircled by more than fifty mountains higher than three thousand meters. Enjoy a cup of fine coffee while indulging in the awesome Alpine panorama.

Pitz Park

Adventures in the water and on the playground are on the agenda during summer at Pitz Park in Wenns. Every family member will find their favourite activity in Pitz Park in Wenns with its natural bathing pond, a generously designed playground with mega Pitzi action, a heated paddling pool for toddlers, beach volleyball and soccer court.

Rifflsee

Rifflsee is Austria's highest mountain lake and gave also the name to the adjacent Mountain Lifts. Mountain fans of all ages can take full advantage of the Rifflsee mountain lift network which gives access to the region's countless high elevation walking routes, ranging from easy to intermediate difficulty.

ZirbenPark

Fun, games and interesting facts about the rare Swiss stone pine make a trip to ZirbenPark Hochzeiger fascinating for visitors of any age. The one kilometre long ZirbenPark circular route in Pitztal starts at Hochzeiger intermediate station at 2,000 metres. The adventure trail leads through a Swiss pine forest with panoramic views of the towns Jerzens and Wenns.
