Gundolf Wohlfühlhotel
Our hotel is located in the middle of the Tyrolean mountains, at the end of the Pitztal valley, where the tourist center for hiking and winter sports is located.
The highest mountain in Tyrol, the Wildspitze (3,774 m), is practically on our doorstep and can be climbed from our hotel in both summer and winter. The hotel is approximately 800 m from the Riffelsee ski and hiking area and approximately 2 km from the Piztal Glacier Cable Car. The valley hiking trail and mountain bike trail pass by the hotel, which is also used as a hiking trail or cross-country ski trail in winter.
The free hiking and ski bus stops 10 meters in front of our hotel.
As our hotel is located at an altitude of 1,600 meters, it is an ideal starting point for hikes and high-altitude tours in summer, autumn, and winter, and offers guaranteed snow.

ARRIVAL BY CAR, TRAIN, AND BUS
Arrival by car
Arrival: Coming from Germany, Switzerland, or Italy on the A12 motorway, take the Pitztal exit at IMST. If you are entering Austria from Germany via the Fern Pass, you do not need a motorway vignette for Austria and you can also reach Pitztal via IMST. Drive through the valley for approx. 35 km until you reach the end of the valley – Hotel Gundolf is clearly visible on the left-hand side in the village of Tieflehn.
Arriving by train and bus
If you are arriving by train, your destination station is IMST PITZTAL, where all express and regional trains stop. From there, you can take the Postbus to the hotel, which runs almost hourly during the day. Let us know BEFORE your arrival that you would like to take the bus, and we will send you a FREE VOUCHER by email so that you do not have to pay for the bus ride.
