The roof of Tyrol.
Every winter, ski vacationers are preoccupied with one question: where can you ski well and where is the best snow? The answer is easy: Pitztal, the roof of Tyrol, is one of the few vacation destinations in the entire Alpine region that is truly guaranteed to have snow due to its high altitude.
With slopes for all skill levels, the Pitztal Glacier is considered one of the most snow-sure and challenging glacier ski areas. Here, you can start the new winter season particularly early in the year.

Wildspitzbahn & Café 3.440
Austria's highest cable car, the Wildspitzbahn, takes you over the eternal ice to the roof of Tyrol in just a few minutes to Café 3,440: Tyrol's highest box seat is an architectural masterpiece at 3,440 m above sea level, nestled against the ridge of the rear Brunnenkogel like a snowdrift. A futuristic, small space, the building is enthroned amid the mighty peaks of the surrounding 3,000-meter mountains and, with its southwestern-facing space, offers insight, views, and vistas into the mighty glacier world of the Ötztal Alps.
