Our agriculture

At Hotel Gundolf, we are proud of our own farm, which not only supplies high-quality products but also promotes a sustainable and respectful approach to nature.

For over 15 years, Reinhard and Evi Knabl have been running their farm in Köfels with dedication and passion. Starting with 8 sheep and 10 pigs, the family now has around 60 sheep, 2 cattle, and 50 chickens.

Natural environment

During the summer months, our sheep enjoy the cool mountain evenings and lush mountain herbs at the Luibisalm, while our cows frolic on the Plangeroßer Alm at the foot of the majestic Kaunergrat. These idyllic alpine pastures not only provide a natural environment for our animals, but also a rich variety of grassy pastures and clear mountain water.

Regionality & quality

Every dish created in our kitchen is a reminder of the love and care that Reinhard and Evi invest in our farm. From tender meat dishes to delicious egg dishes, all products come directly from our farm and are prepared with great care. Our kitchen team values the regionality and quality of the products and uses them to conjure up culinary delights for our guests every day.

Holistic agriculture

Livestock farming is not all that our agriculture has to offer. Evi has discovered a new passion in weaving and is devoted to processing the wool from our sheep. From careful cleaning to the artful weaving of carpets, each piece is unique and reflects the natural beauty of our surroundings.
