Autumn summer dreams

Experience nature in the Pitztal Valley

Powerful and moving

The Pitztal Valley in Tyrol

Enjoy the powerful Pitztal Alps in all their diversity: where untouched mountains meet an adventure landscape in the eternal ice, families and athletes experience a mountain summer of superlatives.

Even on the way through the narrow valley, vacationers are treated to breathtaking views of the naturally wild mountain world of the Pitztal.

Tradition meets modernity when Austria's highest cable car, the new Wildspitzbahn, takes you up to the futuristic “Café 3440” at 3,440 meters above sea level, offering fantastic views of the glaciated ice giants of the main Alpine ridge from the new viewing platform, while down in the valley cows graze peacefully on alpine pastures that have been cultivated for centuries.

Anyone who says, “Summer vacations in the mountains are boring!”
has never been here.

Family adventures around the Hotel Gundolf

Here in the Pitztal, nature becomes an experience! Exciting adventures await young and old right on your doorstep. Children can romp, climb, and explore to their heart's content at diverse playgrounds like the Gampenwald Adventure Playground or the Mandarfen Playground.

Those keen on animal encounters can even go horseback riding in the village and experience the Pitztal from a whole new perspective.

Family hikes not only lead through stunning scenery but often end at cozy alpine pastures with great playgrounds. The Legend Trail to the Gletscherstube is particularly exciting for little explorers, where stories and nature go hand in hand.

An absolute highlight for the whole family is the Hochzeiger Zirbenpark with its spectacular Zirbenkart descent – action and fun guaranteed!
